For the second consecutive season, Skip Barber Racing School alumni Austin Dillon won the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway. Dillon and fellow Skip Barber graduate Bubba Wallace combined to lead 230 of the race’s 400 laps. Additionally, Skip Barber graduates swept the stages, with Tyler Reddick taking the green-and-white checkered flag in Stage 1 and Wallace winning Stage 2. Graduates Alex Bowman (2nd), Joey Logano (4th), Austin Cindric (5th), and Josh Berry (8th) all finished in the top ten of Saturday night’s NASCAR Cup Series race. Dillon was a consistent presence at the front of the field, scoring top-five finishes in both stages before climbing to the lead at the beginning of the final stage. In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, alumni Sammy Smith (4th) and Jake Garcia (7th) also earned top-ten finishes. At Road America, Skip Barber Racing School alumni found plenty of success. In Toyota GR Cup North America, former Skip Barber Race Series competitor Jaxon Bell earned a podium finish in Race 1, with fellow alumni Westin Workman joining him on the third step of the podium. Graduates Ford Koch, Jackson Tovo, and Ethan Tovo also recorded top-ten results. In GT World Challenge America, graduate Connor De Phillippi claimed a class victory in Race 1 and a second-place finish in Race 2. Meanwhile, fellow alumni Robby Foley secured a pair of runner-up finishes in the Pro-Am class. Skip Barber Racing’s Cooper Broll and Tommy Pintos swept the weekend in McLaren Trophy, America with a pair of overall wins. Pintos also added a second pole position to his season total.
