Graduates of the Skip Barber Racing School amassed five podiums and two wins over the USF Juniors weekend at Road America. Reigning Skip Barber Race Series champion Sebastian Wheldon won Race 3 and fellow alumni Max Taylor solidified his championship lead with a win in Race 1 and a podium in Race 3. Graduate Jack Jeffers added a pair of third place finishes in Race 1 and Race 2 while Brady Golan collected three top ten finishes over the weekend. Skip Barber Racing’s Jeshua Alianell was eighth in Race 2. Also at Road America was Porsche Sprint Challenge North America where alumni Ashley Freiberg claimed a pair of top five finishes. With the curtain drawn on the Paris Olympics, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR Cup Series returned to action, beginning at Richmond Raceway where graduate Austin Dillon won the Cook Out 400. Fellow Skip Barber graduates Tyler Reddick (3rd), Bubba Wallace (4th), Ross Chastain (5th), and Carson Hocevar (8th) also finished in the top ten. For Hocevar, his eighth-place result matches his career-best in the NASCAR Cup Series. In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Christian Eckes finished the Clean Harbors 250 in second while Ty Dillon ended the evening in ninth. Lastly, the Skip Barber Race Series returned to action from Road America where Oliver Wheldon extended his winning streak to six races, Alan Orzynski claimed his first-career podium, and the race for the championship-title inched ever-closer ahead of the final two rounds of the season.
