Chris Spada has joined the Skip Barber Race Series grid for the 2025 season. The 23-year-old brings an extensive sim-racing background to the iconic series. He joins a rapidly growing grid that includes rookies rising from the top ranks of karting and podium finishers returning for another chance at the coveted title. Spada began his Skip Barber Racing School journey by completing the Three-Day Formula Car Racing School and the Advanced Two-Day School at Lime Rock Park. Skip Barber Racing School instructors quickly identified Spada as a candidate for the Skip Barber Race Series based on his skill level and positive attitude toward growing and developing as a racer. He went on to complete an Advanced Coaching session at Circuit of the Americas and is slated for another pair of Advanced Coaching Days at Sebring International Raceway in March, ahead of the season opener later this year. “When we look at potential drivers for the Skip Barber Race Series, we consider a number of factors,” Skip Barber’s Director of Instructors, Carter Fartuch, explained. “First among them is the driver’s attitude and character. What our team saw in Chris is a competitor who is committed to the process of developing as a driver on the track and the ability to operate successfully on the commercial side of the business. We couldn’t be more pleased to have Chris’ name on our 2025 entry list.” Originally from Mendham, New Jersey, Spada attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania before following in the footsteps of his father with a career in the financial sector. Throughout the 2025 season, he will be sponsored by Summit Financial and Joseph Spada. “What makes Chris’ entrance into the Skip Barber Race Series so exciting is the unique background he brings to the grid,” said Skip Barber Chief Marketing Officer Dan DeMonte. “In 2025, we’ll have drivers from karting, drivers who leaped straight into our Formula Cars, and drivers with extensive sim-racing backgrounds on the grid.
