Keagan Day has become the latest competitor to join the Skip Barber Race Series for the 2025 edition of the iconic series. From Westfield, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, the 17-year-old joins the Skip Barber Race Series after completing training programs at the Circuit of the Americas and VIRginia International Raceway. Prior to training with Skip Barber, Day spent time with Indianapolis’ NXG Youth Motorsports, a motorsports-focused STEM program designed to provide opportunities for teenagers in underrepresented communities. With NXG, Day competed in a variety of karting races throughout Indiana. Keagan’s love for racing was born at the 100th Indianapolis 500, where he saw fellow Skip Barber Racing School graduate Alexander Rossi’s legendary fuel-saving effort that landed the then-rookie a spot on the Borg-Warner Trophy. Day spent time competing on simulators and in rental go-karts before embedding himself with NXG Youth Motorsports. “I want to start my career in car racing with Skip Barber because I want to move up through the open-wheel ladder system, and that’s what Skip Barber offers,” Day explained. “I hope to win races, but also to learn more about the industry and become a better driver on and off the track.” In addition to his racing activities, Day is a dual-sport athlete in high school, competing in both football and track. In 2025, he will be partnered with Strategic Wealth Designers and its founder, Matthew Dicken. “Welcoming Keagan Day to the grid is a really exciting prospect,” Skip Barber Racing School Chief Marketing Officer Dan DeMonte said. “He’s a dedicated young man who has worked hard to reach this point, and from what our instructors tell me, he’ll be one to keep an eye on out on track. I’m looking forward to seeing him compete this season.” “There are only a few spots remaining on the grid before we reach our cap,” DeMonte said. “This entry cap, along with the structure set by our instructional team, ensures that the Skip Barber Race Series continues to offer the highest percentage of green flag racing among all formula series.” The 2025 Skip Barber Race Series will begin at Sebring International Raceway in April.
