Skip Barber Racing School alumni Madison Snow and Neil Verhagen combined to earn a victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The duo, driving for fellow alumnus Paul Miller’s team, claimed top honors in GTD Pro by nearly three seconds. Snow started the race before handing the reins to Verhagen, who completed a nearly two-hour stint that saw him take the lead in the final ten laps. Skip Barber graduates also found success in GTD, with Misha Goikhberg finishing second and Robby Foley fourth. Alumni Connor De Phillippi added to the podium tally with a second-place finish in LMP2. In the NASCAR Cup Series, an astounding 60% of the top fifteen finishers at Iowa Speedway on Sunday were Skip Barber Racing School alumni. The group included a stellar drive from reigning race winner Bubba Wallace, who climbed from 32nd to 6th in the final 64 laps. Fellow Skip Barber graduates Alex Bowman (7th), Carson Hocevar (8th), Joey Logano (9th), Austin Dillon (10th), Ross Chastain (11th), Austin Cindric (12th), Josh Berry (13th), and John Hunter Nemechek (15th) also finished inside the top fifteen. Chastain and Hocevar continued their success in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, with Chastain finishing third and Hocevar coming home sixth on Saturday. Additionally, Skip Barber alumni Connor Zilisch (4th), Harrison Burton (5th), and Christian Eckes (10th) delivered strong results. Burton’s fifth-place finish marked his best result since a third-place run at Rockingham earlier this season. In Italy, Skip Barber Race Series champion Sebastian Wheldon finished Race 1 of the Italian Formula 4 Championship weekend at Imola in tenth. Meanwhile, the Skip Barber Race Series was in action at New Jersey Motorsports Park, where the field completed a weekend of all-green-flag racing. The doubleheader featured competitive battles throughout the field, highlighted by consistent improvement from every driver on the grid.
