Robert Mosteller will become the next driver to add his name to the iconic list of alumni who have competed in the Skip Barber Race Series. Mosteller, brings a wide variety of experience to the Skip Barber Race Series grid including karting, sim-racing, and time training with the Skip Barber Racing School. After discovering his passion for motorsports several years ago, the teenager surrounded himself with any and all aspects of the sport. From watching endurance sportscar racing to rallycross, Robert couldn’t get enough. He soon began competing at local kart tracks near his hometown of Dallas, Texas. When he wasn’t at the track, he was on a custom-built racing simulator in his home, continuing to hone his passion. “I started going to my local go kart track to compete in their monthly league race but that wasn't enough,” Robert explained. “I saved up all my money and built a computer and a Moza R5 bundle and found sim racing to be a lovely hobby. But still it wasn't the same as being able to say that I was a professional race car driver.” The next chapter in Robert’s story was written with some aide from his grandfather who suggested the Skip Barber Racing School to Robert. With that advice from his grandfather, Robert soon enrolled in a Three Day Formula Racing School, putting him on the path to the Skip Barber Race Series. His long term aspirations in motorsports are set high, but for the remainder of the Skip Barber Race Series season, Robert plans to focus on gaining experience, laying down consistent finishes, and improving his race craft. “It’s a pleasure to welcome Robert onto the Skip Barber Race Series grid,” Skip Barber’s Chief Marketing Officer Dan DeMonte said. “After spending time with Robert, it’s clear to see he is an eager young racer who is ready to put the work in to achieve his goals. He’s a perfect fit for our Skip Barber Race Series grid and I can’t wait to see him compete.” The 19-year-old will make his debut at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
