The Skip Barber Race Series field will face one of the most difficult challenges of the season this week as they descend on central Florida and the fearsome Sebring Raceway. With the top three in the standings separated by less than ten points, every point will be critical across the pair of races at the 3.741-mile track. In a year where the series has visited smooth and newly repaved venues like Road America, Sebring Raceway will be a unique challenge for the field. Sebastian Wheldon moved into the lead of the championship following a pair of podiums, including one win, during the last race at Lime Rock Park. The smooth bullring in Connecticut presented a vastly different slate of challenges than the bumpy and iconic course at Sebring will. Keeping the Formula 4 car under control, while extracting the most pace will be crucial. Just two points behind Wheldon is Jeshua Alianell who scored his second win of the season at Lime Rock Park. Alianell has been a consistent factor at the top of the order and will likely continue that trend in Sebring. Jaxon Bell, meanwhile, rebounded from adversity in Race One at Lime Rock Park to land himself on the second step of the podium in Race Two. Jaxon, son of Townsend Bell, will enter the Sebring week just eight points behind Wheldon and six points behind Alianell. In the Masters Division, Rob Tarlton is four points ahead of his twin brother Tom Tarlton. Caleb Gafrarar is fourth in the championship standings and is 14 points behind Bell.
