Just one week after opening the 2025 season, the Skip Barber Race Series is back in action. After a pair of races at Sebring International Raceway, the premier junior development series is headed for the bayous of Louisiana and NOLA Motorsports Park for another doubleheader. The season-opener in Florida demonstrated the competitiveness of the diverse field as Race Series sophomore Ethan Booher captured the victory in Race 1 ahead of top sim-racer Ivan Machado Perez and Brazilian karter Naim Saleh. In Race 2, Booher again led Perez with rookie Chris Spada completing the podium. As the field heads for NOLA, Mexico’s Alan Orzynski will be returning to fruitful grounds. He scored a top five finish at the 2.67-mile course last season and is the only driver in the rookie-filled field to have prior experience at the track. Orzynski will also be carrying the momentum he gathered by winning the Hard Charger Award in Sebring. This weekend’s entry list includes rookies Jaysen Cajero and Logan Anderson who both earned a top ten finish in their Skip Barber Race Series debut at Sebring. Cajero and Anderson will be two of several drivers participating in Advanced Coaching on Friday, ahead of the action this weekend. Colorado’s Trevor LaTourrette will also be back in action at NOLA Motorsports Park, he too earned a top ten finish at Sebring and is poised to leap up the standings early in the season.
